About
Charidi Jamison MS, LCMHC,LPC
Â
I am Charidi Jamison, the owner of Charidi Jamison Counseling, PLLC.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Columbia College, a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education from McDaniel College, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
Before entering private practice, I spent 16 years serving as a school counselor in elementary, middle, and high school settings in Maryland and North Carolina. While I valued helping students navigate academic challenges and social concerns, I found my greatest passion in supporting them through emotional struggles and helping them discover confidence, resilience, and hope. In 2021, I followed my calling to transition from school counseling into clinical mental health counseling, where I could continue walking alongside individuals through their journeys of healing and growth.
My faith in Jesus is at the heart of who I am and deeply influences the way I approach counseling. Throughout my life, I have felt a calling from God to serve others by providing compassion, encouragement, support, and empowerment. I believe each person is created with purpose, value, and unique gifts, and I am honored to help clients discover healing, restoration, and the fullness of who God created them to be.
In my practice, I integrate evidence-based counseling approaches with a faith-informed perspective for clients who desire that connection. I believe that emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness are deeply connected, and I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen their faith, gain insight, and pursue meaningful change. My own journey of healing has strengthened my belief that transformation is possible and that, with God, all things are possible.
Through our work together, I will help you develop greater awareness of how your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors influence the way you see yourself, others, and the world around you. My hope is to walk alongside you as you experience freedom, wholeness, and healing while becoming the person God created you to be.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy walking/strength training, traveling, attending Broadway shows, reading, participating in Bible studies, watching YouTube, and spending meaningful time with my family and friends.
